Job summary

UPMC Hamot Hospital is seeking a Supervisor, Police & Security to lead the hospital safety team and ensure a secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Role includes administrative duties, budgeting input, and coordination with hospital management.

Candidate must have 6 years of security/law enforcement experience or Act 120 training with 2 years in the field; prior supervisory experience preferred and strong interpersonal skills required.

Qualifications

• 6 years of security related/law enforcement experience or Act 120 trained with 2 years in law enforcement or security.
• Prior lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Police and Security Team to maintain a safe environment for patients, families, visitors and staff.
• Assist with staffing decisions and supervise staff performance.
• Assist with department budget preparation and monitoring.
• Maintain security systems and department equipment; generate reports as needed.
• Coordinate with local agencies and ensure staff certifications are up to date.
