Job summary

Labcorp in Wichita, KS is seeking a dedicated phlebotomist to perform venipuncture and capillary collections across age groups, collect specimens for various tests, and ensure accurate data entry and billing processes. You will also prepare specimens for analysis, maintain logs, and deliver excellent patient service.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred phlebotomy certification or training and 1 year of experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program preferred, or 1 year of phlebotomy experience.
• Must pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Proven track record in exceptional customer service; strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently or in a team; reliable transportation with a clean driving record if applicable; overtime flexibility.

Work Schedule

Monday - Friday 5:00AM - 1:30PM with rotating weekends and holiday

Job Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency


• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service


• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal


• Ability to work independently or in a team environment


• Comfortable working under minimal supervision


• Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable


• Flexibility to work overtime as needed


• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
