Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to work in Oneonta, AL, with Monday - Friday 10:00AM - 6:30PM. Responsibilities include blood collection by venipuncture/capillary techniques, collecting specimens for various tests, data entry, and patient/customer service.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and 6 months+ phlebotomy experience; certification or formal training is preferred. Flexibility to travel to other sites and occasional overtime may be required.

Work Schedule

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to work in Oneonta, AL. Monday - Friday 10:00AM - 6:30PM

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent 6 months or more of phlebotomy experience

Preferred Qualifications

Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist

Additional Job Standards

In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service Strong communication skills; both written and verbal Ability to work independently or in a team environment Comfortable working under minimal supervision Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable Flexibility to work overtime as needed Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

• Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
