Job summary
Emanate Health in West Covina, CA seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support the pharmacy team with medication preparation, storage, and distribution under a pharmacist’s direct supervision.
The role requires knowledge of trade and generic drug names, aseptic technique for IVs, accurate math, and proficient typing for computer order entry. Strong English communication and customer service are essential, with a State Board of Pharmacy–compliant license and BLS/ACLS as required.
Qualifications
- Training as per State Board of Pharmacy requirements.
- Acute care experience preferred.
- Knowledge of trade/generic drug names and aseptic technique for IVs.
- Able to perform mathematical calculations and typing for computer order entry.
- General understanding of pharmacy computer applications and reference material.
- Able to withstand stress of high activity area.
- Proficiency in English (verbal and written).
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Pharmacy Technician License is required.
- BLS or ACLS required (ICH/QVH only).
- Stroke education: 2 hours annually for those at QVH.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the preparation, storage, and distribution of medications under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. Performs other duties as assigned.
