Job summary

UF Health Rehabilitation Hospital - North is seeking a Pharmacy Technician in Jacksonville, FL. This per diem/PRN position requires weekend and weekday coverage with a compensation of $25.00/hr.

The hospital is affiliated with Select Medical and located at 15255 Max Leggett Parkway, Jacksonville, FL 32218. Responsibilities include assisting pharmacists, filling medication cassettes, preparing IV medications, handling label requests, and delivering supplies to departments.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Current State Board of Pharmacy Registration Certificate as a Pharmacy Technician required based on state requirement.
• One to two years experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision, the pharmacy technician assists pharmacist in providing medications to patients and performs routine duties in hospital pharmacy.
• Fills medication cassettes under the direct supervision of a pharmacist
• Prepares IV medications under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
• Prints out and fills label requests for First dose or Stat medications.
• Delivers supplies and medications to other departments as needed.
