Job summary

Infor seeks a Pharmacy Technician under general supervision of a licensed pharmacist to prepare medications for patient consumption and ensure accurate labeling and timely delivery within the hospital pharmacy.

You will assist with orders, triage calls, manage stock, perform unit dosing, handle recalls, and maintain records across pharmacy systems while coordinating with nurses and pharmacists to support safe patient care.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work accurately under stress and communicate with personnel and visitors.
• Able to operate computer programs, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues; strong organizational skills.
• Maintain accurate records and handle inventory, recalls, and orders in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare medications for patient consumption under supervision.
• Assist pharmacists with telephone calls and triage; receive assignments from Pharmacists.
• Check orders and deliveries for completeness, labeling accuracy, and proper storage.
• Deliver and pick up medications to secure areas in a timely manner.
• Maintain stock of sterile equipment, pharmaceutical equipment, and supplies.
• Prepackage bulk medications into unit dose packaging and record in the packaging system.
• Prepare outpatient prescriptions for dispensing after pharmacist approval.
• Address drug recalls promptly and manage inventory for expiration dates.
• Conduct inventory and ensure accurate controlled substance counts; report discrepancies.
