Job summary

The role requires a high school diploma, state licensure as a Pharmacy Technician, and 1–2 years of hospital experience. Eligible candidates will be proficient in dosage calculations and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 1–2 years hospital-related experience or formal training in pharmacy technician is desired.
• Pharmacy Technician license required; PTCB certification preferred.
• Ability to perform extemporaneous dosage calculations under supervision.
• Knowledge of state and federal controlled substance regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform dosage calculations for extemporaneous dosage forms under supervision.
• Adhere to safety requirements for handling non-hazardous medications.
• Prepare compounded sterile products and manage controlled substances.
• Assist with training Pharmacy Technician Trainees.
• Maintain familiarity with pharmacy practices, labeling, and storage.
