Job summary

MemorialCare in Fountain Valley, CA is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist under a Pharmacist in the Department of Pharmacy. You will help with preparation, dispensing, and inventory, using EHR and automation systems to support safe patient care.

Responsibilities include triaging communications, preparing meds for dispensation, maintaining records, delivering medications to units, and ensuring medication safety and proper storage. California license required; CPhT preferred.

Qualifications

Minimum one year of experience in an inpatient hospital pharmacy setting (preferred).
Minimum one year of experience in compounded sterile products preparation and procedures (preferred).

Responsibilities

Monitors and triages Pharmacy communications.
Prepares medication for dispensation from the Pharmacy.
Participates in maintaining inventory management and proper recordkeeping.
Delivers medication to appropriate units or automated dispensing machines.
Maintains the integrity of all medication received, stored, prepared, or dispensed from the Pharmacy.
Ability to be at work and be on time.
Ability to follow company policies, procedures and directives.
Ability to interact in a positive and constructive manner.
Ability to prioritize and multitask.
