Cardinal Health operates the Pharmacy located at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge, TN. We are currently recruiting for a full-time Pharmacy Technician to assist the Pharmacist in daily operations, including filling prescriptions, stocking inventory, and processing returns.

The Technician I, Health Systems Pharmacy ensures orders are reviewed by a registered pharmacist and documented in the pharmacy system, while maintaining compliance with regulatory guidelines and providing courteous

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Licensed pharmacy technician in the state of Tennessee.
  • PTCB certification preferred.
  • IV experience preferred.
  • In-patient/hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assists pharmacists in filling prescription orders as permitted by State Boards of Pharmacy.
  • Prepares medication for dispensing, packaging, and shipment.
  • Takes inventory, places orders, checks in drugs and supplies, stocks shelves and removes out of date items from the inventory.
  • Enters patient data and prescription information into the pharmacy information management system.
  • Maintains knowledge of and abides by all applicable pharmacy laws and regulations.
