Job summary

Mercy Hospital - Oklahoma City is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for the evening shift (2p-10:30p), Monday-Friday with occasional weekends and holidays. This career-ladder role advances from Technician I to II to III based on education, licensure, and hospital experience, with orientation provided on entry.

The position supports pharmacists in preparing, compounding, and dispensing medications while adhering to federal, state, and local regulations for patient safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalence required.
• Active registration with State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician or willingness to submit registration by first day, including fingerprints for FBI background check.
• CPhT certification within 6 months of hire is required for PhT II/III.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing, compounding, and dispensing medications.
• Follow laws and regulations for patient safety and care.
• Complete pharmacy department orientation and maintain compliance.
