Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Intern/Technician to assist the pharmacy team under licensed pharmacist supervision. The role involves aseptic compounding, packaging and labeling medications, and supporting a central pharmacy workflow at 8303 Dodge Street, Omaha.

Casual, as-needed hours with one evening shift per week and every other weekend. Training provided; strong emphasis on patient safety and confidentiality within a team environment.

Qualifications

• Must have or be in a program for Nebraska Pharmacy Intern registration.
• Ability to triage medication requests and support pharmacists.
• Experience with sterile compounding and IV admixtures is preferred.
• Strong communication and confidentiality skills.

Responsibilities

• Triage medication requests and notify pharmacist as appropriate.
• Manufacture, package, and label drug products as needed.
• Perform aseptic technique for parenteral admixtures.
• Assist in institutional drug distribution and record keeping.
