Job summary

TBH in New York is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to join the hospital Pharmacy team under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. You will assist with dispensing medications, formulate oral liquids, and help with sterile compounding, while supporting inventory and nursing station inspections.

You will also participate in performance improvement projects, medication use evaluations, and Joint Commission accreditation activities.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an ACPE program or graduate of an accredited pharmacy program.
• Minimum of one year of hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Knowledge of brand and generic medication names.
• Knowledge of pharmacotherapy.
• Knowledge of medication dosage calculations.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Good time management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist and support pharmacists in medication dispensing.
• Perform oral liquid formulation compounding.
• Assist in sterile product compounding.
• Support inventory management and nursing station inspections.
• Contribute to performance improvement projects and medication use evaluations.
• Participate in Joint Commission accreditation related activities.
