Job summary

Mount Carmel, part of Trinity Health, seeks a Pharmacy Intern to assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, providing patient counseling, and supporting sterile compounding and inventory control. You will work under direct supervision, gaining increasing clinical experience as you demonstrate capability.

The position requires enrollment in an accredited College of Pharmacy with current Ohio Intern licensure and preference for hospital pharmacy exposure.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited College of Pharmacy program in good standing.
• Current licensure as a Pharmacy Intern with the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy.
• Hospital pharmacy internship experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in preparation, dispensing, record keeping, counseling, and delivery of medications.
• Prepare IV admixtures and sterile products using aseptic technique.
• Compound medications with proper calculations and labeling.
• Assist in filling orders and managing inventory.
• Provide drug information to patients and healthcare professionals.
