Cardinal Health Innovative Delivery Solutions in Stafford, TX is seeking a clinically oriented pharmacist for remote order entry. You will remotely service hospital patients, monitor dosing, and provide continuity of care while leaving dispensing to the hospital.

The role emphasizes clinical skills, collaboration with physicians and nurses, and the need to obtain multiple state licenses within the first 6 months. Schedule includes every other Saturday and Sunday, with 10-hour daytime shifts.

Qualifications

• Active TX Pharmacist License required.
• 2-4 years of clinical hospital inpatient experience preferred.
• Willing to gain at least 5 additional licenses in the first 6 months.
• Ability to gain reciprocity to additional states required for practice.
• Computer savvy to learn and operate multiple pharmacy information systems.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with other healthcare professionals to deliver competent clinical care.
• Willing and able to obtain 5 state licenses within the first 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Remote order entry and CPOE order evaluation and verification.
• Assure acquisition or renewal of all pharmacy staff licenses.
• Performs as staff pharmacist as needed.
• Physician and nursing consultations.
• Clinical medication dosing services.
• Review and monitoring of profiles and lab values for therapeutic outcomes.
• Coordinates access to medications according to facility policy and procedures, and in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
