Job summary

Qualifications

• Must hold current pharmacist license in WV, OH, PA or MD as applicable.
• Hospital pharmacy experience preferred (internship or as registered Pharmacist).
• Willingness to participate in Pharmacy QA and floor inspections.

Responsibilities

• Dispense drugs and pharmaceutical preparations as ordered by physicians.
• Provide pharmaceutical consultation to doctors and nurses.
• Question prescriptions when needed and ensure accuracy.
• Assist Pharmacy manager with purchasing from vendors.
• Interact with pharmaceutical sales reps as required.
• Conduct drug checks and inspections on hospital floors.
• Assist IV admixture program with order checking and advice.
• Attend pharmacy-related hospital meetings as delegated.
• Support Pharmacy Quality Assurance and floor inspection reporting.
