Job summary

USA Health in Mobile, AL seeks a licensed pharmacist to provide pharmaceutical care across our hospital system. You will review orders, prepare IV solutions including chemotherapy, dispense medications, and ensure safe medication use in collaboration with physicians and nurses.

You will maintain medical records, adhere to infection control, and support formulary adherence while delivering compassionate patient care within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Must graduate from a recognized School of Pharmacy and be licensed in Alabama.
• CONSUBS - Pharmacist Control Substance certification required.
• LPT or IV certification completion within 90 days is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmaceutical activities and functions related to medication use and monitoring per guidelines.
• Participate in studies, quality monitors and drug evaluations to improve outcomes.
• Prepare and dispense IV solutions and chemotherapy medications.
• Review physician orders for dose, route and interactions; consult physicians as needed.
• Maintain accurate and complete medical records and documentation.
• Communicate with physicians, patients, and healthcare staff regarding medications.
