Job summary

Madera Community Hospital in Central California is seeking a Pharmacist to deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical care within the hospital Pharmacy Department. The role encompasses clinical, distribution, educational, informational, quality assurance and supervisory duties.

The Pharmacist will interpret physician prescriptions, serve as a drug information resource for patients and staff, dispense medications, and cover all shifts including overnight and weekends.

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited School of Pharmacy.
Current California Pharmacist License.
Minimum one year hospital pharmacist experience.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care including clinical, distribution, educational, informational, quality assurance and supervisory functions.
Interpret physician prescriptions and act as a drug information resource to patients, medical staff, nursing staff and ancillary personnel.
Distribute and dispense prescribed medications and other pharmaceuticals; cover all shifts including overnight and weekends.
