Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a licensed pharmacist to compound and dispense prescribed drugs in a hospital setting. You will consult with medical staff on drug interactions and patient history, and respond to patient questions about medications and dosage instructions.

Minimum training includes Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, with a pharmacy residency preferred. Licensure as a Registered Pharmacist by the South Carolina Board of Pharmacy and BLS

Qualifications

Doctor of Pharmacy or PharmD degree.
Residency completion preferred.
Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist by the South Carolina Board of Pharmacy.

Responsibilities

Compound and dispense prescribed drugs in a hospital or healthcare facility.
Consult with medical staff about potential drug interactions and patient medical history.
Respond to questions from patients about medications and dosage instructions.
Ensure all required pharmacy data is recorded and maintained and comply with regulatory, security and hospital procedures.
