Ironside Human Resources is assisting a great healthcare system near Lake Charles, LA to hire a full-time Pharmacist. The role offers day and night shifts; starting pay is $55.00/hour, with pay increases tied to experience.

You will prepare and dispense drug orders, interpret and verify orders, maintain patient drug records, and handle sterile/non-sterile preparations as applicable. Hospital or retail experience is highly preferred.

Formación

• Doctor of Pharmacy or BS Pharmacy degree required.
• Hospital or retail experience highly preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Prepares and dispenses drug orders per physician request according to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Interprets drug orders (verbal and written) and transcribes/verifies into computerized patient medication record accurately; maintains, accurate, complete patient drug record.
• Compounds and dispenses pharmaceuticals including non-sterile and sterile products, chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition products accurately if applicable.
• Issues controlled substances to patient care areas and maintains records as required by law and institutional policies.
