Job summary

JobRx, Inc. seeks a Travel Hospital Pharmacist for an inpatient role in Chesapeake, VA. This 13-week assignment offers rotating day/evening shifts, 40 hours per week, in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Requirements include Virginia license, PharmD and RPh, and at least 1 year inpatient experience with Epic. Travel experience is preferred; duties include IV meds, dosing, and care-team collaboration.

This position provides strong weekly pay and supports patient safety across the Hampton Roads region.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia pharmacist license at submission.
• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required.
• PharmD and RPh required.
• Minimum 1 year inpatient pharmacy experience.
• Epic charting experience required.
• Travel pharmacy experience preferred; rotating schedule may include weekends/overnights.

Responsibilities

• Verify medication orders accurately and support safe, timely medication dispensing in the inpatient hospital pharmacy.
• Prepare and manage IV medications and other hospital pharmacy services.
• Review drug interactions, dosing, and therapy considerations to promote optimal patient outcomes.
• Support pain management, antibiotics, anticoagulation, and dosing adjustments as needed.
• Document and enter orders in Epic with precision and efficiency.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the care team to provide high-quality clinical pharmacy support across the hospital.
• Contribute to rotating shift, weekend, and overnight coverage to maintain continuous operations.

Job Requirements
