Job summary

Highlands Medical Center is seeking a Hospitality Assistant to deliver and retrieve patient meal trays, and provide individualized assistance to each patient as part of nourishment services. The role supports hospital operations and patient care under the Huntsville Hospital Health System.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED (preferred) and at least two years in food service, with healthcare experience preferred. Strong communication and confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and customer service skills required.
• Must be knowledgeable of and able to follow the standards of federal, state and regulatory agencies and JCAHO for sanitation, food preparation and handling.
• Must be able to properly identify patients and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and retrieve patient meal trays.
• Provide individualized assistance to each patient.
• Participate in Hospitality Rounds and nourishment services.
