Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Nurse Assistant to join our clinical team. This role provides routine patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and supports the care team in a hospital setting.

Minimum requirements include Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant training and current Basic Life Support certification. The position is an hourly, regular full-time role with 36 hours per week and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements: Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant, or equivalent training.
• Credentials: Basic Life Support required within 2 weeks of hire; thereafter, must maintain.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers required.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine duties within the limits of training and certification in caring for the hospitalized patient.
• Care is rendered under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Performs other duties related to the work described herein.
