Huntsville Hospital is seeking an Oral Surgery Dental Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support in our hospital-based oral surgery clinic. The role includes chairside assisting, patient prep, sterilization, radiography, and post-operative care while upholding infection control and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CODA-accredited dental assisting program preferred.
• DANB CDA or DANB-COA certification preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Certification in Dental Radiography and/or Nitrous Oxide Monitoring.
• ACLS or PALS certification may be required within 6–12 months of hire.
• Experience assisting in oral and maxillofacial surgery (hospital or clinical setting).
• Knowledge of infection control and sterilization.

• Chairside assisting in oral surgery procedures.
• Patient preparation and post-operative care.
• Sterilization and infection control procedures.
• Radiographic imaging for dental procedures.
• Assist in hospital operating room as needed.
