Job summary

GoodVets is seeking an experienced Hospital Operations Manager to serve as the operational heartbeat of our hospital network in Utah. You will run day-to-day operations, optimize staffing, scheduling, inventory, compliance, and reporting, and lead a team to deliver exceptional veterinary care and patient experiences.

You will hire, train, onboard new team members, and drive performance through structured coaching, data-driven reporting, and a focus on culture and growth.

Qualifications

• Experience as Hospital Operations Manager or similar role preferred.
• 3+ years in veterinary medicine with progressive responsibilities.
• Strong leadership and ability to mentor staff.
• Advanced skills in practice management systems and Excel.
• Basic accounting skills.
• Capability to implement SOPs and hospital protocols to maximize productivity and patient satisfaction.
• Clear communication with hospital and corporate teams; decisive under pressure.
• Passion for pets and people.

Responsibilities

As our Hospital Operations Manager, you’ll be the operational heartbeat of the hospital. What You’ll Do:

• Lead all daily hospital operations

Required Qualifications:

• Proven work experience as a Hospital Operations Manager, Medical Office Manager or similar role strongly preferred.
• Three plus years in veterinary medicine with progressive responsibilities, technician background strongly preferred
• Powerful leadership skills and an empathetic approach to management, experience training and mentoring/developing others
• Advanced skills in Practice Management Systems and MS Excel.
• Basic accounting skills
• Demonstrated ability to implement and enforce standard operating procedures and hospital protocols to maximize productivity and patient satisfaction
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively with hospital and corporate teams and the confidence to make important decisions.
• Excellent problem‑solving capabilities, proactively manage and resolve conflict and the ability to work well under pressure
• Demonstrated passion to make a difference in pets and people’s lives

Compensation Range
$55,000—$70,000 USD
