Job summary

Reliant Medical Group, part of Optum, seeks a per diem Hospital Medicine Advanced Practitioner (PA or NP) to join our Worcester team. The clinician will work under hospitalist supervision at Worcester Medical Center, with shifts including early afternoon, overnight, and late evening coverage.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree, national board certification, and MA PA/NP licensure (Masters preferred). BLS and EMR proficiency are required; new graduates are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Hospital Medicine per diem AP position at Worcester Medical Center.
• Shifts 1p-11p, 2p-2a, or 8p-8a depending on group needs.
• Works with hospitalist physicians for ER sign outs and admissions; cross coverage in evenings.
• Triaging and admitting new patients; collaborating with specialty services; cross coverage for Reliant hospitalized patients.
• SVH has IM Residency program; closed ICU and PCU with rapid response teams.

Position Highlights & Primary Responsibilities:

• Hospital MedicinePer DiemAPposition, located at the Worcester Medical Center (Saint Vincent Hospital- SVH)
• Possible shifts are 1p-11p, 2p-2a or 8p-8a, depending on group's needs,overlapping with otherAPs as well.
• Works with Hospitalist physicians' supervision for ER sign outs and admissions, cross coverage in the evening as needed
• Must be comfortable triaging and admitting new patients, collaborating with other specialty services and cross covering for our Reliant hospitalized patients.
• SVH also has IM Residency program with residents covering the more acutely ill patients
• Closed ICU, PCU. Code blue team, rapid response teams available at SVH
• Strong Acute Care Hospital Program providing 24/7 access to our Reliant patients, since 1997
• Dedicated practice management systems in place
• EMRs: Epic system for Reliant, Cerner system for SVH
• Supervising physician: Dr Dhinager Nandagopal, MD
• Paid as hourly rate depending on weekday/weekends/holidays

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required

Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $53.00 - $79.00 per hour.
