Job summary

Advocate Health Care seeks a Full-time Warehouse/Inventory Clerk to manage medical supplies for designated departments, maintain par levels, and ensure accurate labeling and storage in a hospital setting. The role supports patient care areas and requires attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities include counting, replenishing, rotating stock, and coordinating with leads to prevent stockouts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or the equivalent in experience preferred.
• Previous experience with warehouse/receiving or distribution of supplies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains medical supplies inventory for designated departments.
• Counts par levels and replenishes per established schedule.
• Organizes storage areas in a neat and orderly manner.
• Notifies lead distribution technician when stock is critically low or in outage.
• Ensures patient chargeable items are labeled with date and charge number; matches goods with receiving slips.
• Counts supplies on assigned par levels accurately.
• Checks for expired goods and rotates stock to prevent expiry.
• Amends par level sheets to meet department needs.
• Rotates incoming supplies with shelf stock to prevent expiry.
• Adheres to hospital standards and fosters teamwork through communication and relationships.
• Ensures highest level of service to patient care areas through accurate inventory.
• Rotates medical supplies within par stock on each nursing unit.
• Oversees over-the-counter issues, courier service and bed storage/transfer.”
• Ensures work areas are clean and orderly.
• Places materials and supplies in designated distribution locations.
