Job summary

Memorial Hermann Northeast location is seeking a Maintenance Technician to handle all phases of routine and preventive maintenance for hospital buildings, equipment, and grounds. The role includes weekend shifts (Sat & Sun 7:00 am - 3:30 pm) and potential on-call weekdays, ensuring safety and efficient operation of facilities.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of related trade experience or a relevant certificate.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience / Knowledge / Skills: 1 year experience or certificate of completion from a technical/trade school/military experience in an associated mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, electronics, general construction trade skill.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine servicing/repair operations to maintain hospital buildings, equipment, furnishing, fixtures and grounds.
• Performs repairs of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems as required.
• Performs preventative maintenance on equipment and structures and maintains related records.
• Assists in maintaining HVAC controls and related equipment to maximize efficiency in controlled areas.
• Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors and adheres to Memorial Hermann policies and budgetary specs.
• Promotes professional growth and supports department goals; acts as mentor to less experienced staff.
• Models service standards by providing safe, caring and efficient experiences to patients and colleagues.
• Other duties as assigned.
