Job summary

VPNE is seeking a Linen Worker to support BCH Needham’s linen services in Needham, MA. You will transport, stock, and count linens across the hospital and maintain clean, organized linen areas while following safety protocols.

This entry-level role requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk long periods, and proficient English communication with staff. Training will cover safety practices and hospital operations.

Qualifications

• Proficient in English, both verbally and written.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods.
• Must follow safety protocols and wear PPE as required.
• Willing to undergo criminal background check and pass site security screening.

Responsibilities

• Transport filled bins of clean linens.
• Record and monitor linen inventory on carts, shelves and closets.
• Load, move, and organize linens; maintain cleanliness of linen room.
• Transport linen carts to designated locations throughout the hospital.
• Communicate with hospital staff and respond to requests for additional linens.
• Receive daily delivery of bulk linen and manage returns to laundry.
• Promote safety practices and report incidents per policy.
• Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor.
