Job summary

WellSpan Health in Pennsylvania is seeking a full-time Linen Services Attendant to collect soiled laundry and distribute clean linens across nursing units. The role supports stock levels and follows established procedures with a 5:00am–1:30pm shift and every-other-Saturday requirement.

Responsibilities include loading and unloading linens, answering linen orders by phone or fax, inspecting items for damage, and ensuring timely delivery to user departments.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand laundry procedures.

Responsibilities

• Collects soiled laundry from various areas and delivers to linen rooms.
• Answers telephone and takes messages/linen orders by telephone or fax.
• Examines articles for stains, tears or other imperfections.
• Counts and stacks linens for distribution or stores in supply areas; reports shortages.
• Delivers linens/scrubs to user departments per par levels and schedules; distributes emergency supplies.
• Cleans equipment and work area; reports malfunctioning equipment or worn apparel.
• Enters data in Linen Helper computer program daily.
• Washes, dries, folds and delivers patient room curtains daily or with deliveries.
