Sodexo's Mayo Clinic Hospital location in Florida is seeking a Laundry Worker to manage washing, drying, folding, sorting, pressing, and mending of clothes and linens. You may also coordinate uniform distribution or outsourcing, depending on the account's needs.

The role demands physical stamina, the ability to stand for extended periods, and lifting up to 50 pounds. A valid driver’s license may be required, with Bloodborne Pathogen Training possible depending on the location.

Qualificações

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 1–2 years of related work experience.
• May require a valid driver’s license based on location.
• Bloodborne Pathogen Training may be needed based on location.

Responsabilidades

• Operate washers, dryers, irons, steamers, folders, and sewing machines safely and efficiently.
• Mend and repair uniforms and other textiles; document unusable items and report to the Supervisor.
• Track and verify laundry lists, count articles, utilize weighing systems, and prepare discrepancy reports.
• Maintain cleanliness in laundry areas by sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and removing garbage and recyclables.
• Requisition, transport, and restock supplies; collect unused chemicals and refill storage containers as required.
• Significant walking or other mobility; ability to walk/stand for long shifts; lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
