Typical shifts run 4:30a-12:30p or other rotating times, with potential for permanent employment. Eligibility includes a High School Diploma or equivalent and relevant culinary experience, plus ServSafe certifications within six months.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• AA in Culinary Arts OR 3 years healthcare large-quantity cooking OR 5 years restaurant cooking experience.
• ServSafe certification (within six months of hire).
• ServSafe Allergen Certification (MA; within six months).
• IDDS training for Frontline Staff (within three months).
• Must maintain current ServSafe certifications.

Responsibilities

• Prepares meals per written menus and recipes following HACCP and sanitation standards.
• Uses kitchen equipment safely and efficiently to produce timely meals.
• Maintains HACCP temperature records and proper food handling.
• Coordinates cooking to meet service times and portion control.
• Reports equipment repairs and handles special functions as assigned.
• Delivers service quality to donors, patients, and staff at all times.
