Job summary

Catholic Health's Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip, NY, is seeking an Inventory Specialist to ensure accurate daily counting, restocking and distribution of hospital supplies to nursing units across the campus.

You will operate in a fast‑paced warehouse environment, require a high school diploma, basic computer skills, and a clean NYS driver's license, and be willing to drive 18’ trucks between facilities while supporting weekend and holiday coverage.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Basic computer knowledge
• Must be able to work independently
• Must possess organizational skills
• Must be able to lift heavy objects
• Previous warehouse/storeroom experience required, hospital warehouse experience preferred
• Valid and clean NYS driver's license
• Capable and willing to drive 18’ supply transport truck to and from West Islip and Deer Park daily
• Capable and willing to drive (as needed) 18’ supply transport truck to and from Deer Park and other Catholic Health facilities
• Must have weekends and holiday availability

Responsibilities

• The Inventory Specialist responsibilities include, but not limited to, daily counting and restocking of hospital supplies to our Nursing Units.
