Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an HVAC/R Technician to install, maintain, and service heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems for the main hospital and facilities management. The role includes diagnosing malfunctions, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes with a focus on safety and reliability.

You will work to keep complex HVAC networks operational, update maintenance records, and respond to service requests.

Qualifications

• EPA Section 608 Universal Technician Certification required.
• Illinois Driver's License (ILSOS) required.
• Experience with HVAC equipment in commercial/medical facilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintains all HVAC&R and related systems in a functional and safe condition meeting applicable codes.
• Maintains knowledge of diagnosing and repairing HVAC systems throughout the facility.
• Performs preventive maintenance, testing and inspections to reduce malfunctions.
• Ensures work is done within industry guidelines and completed in a timely manner.
• Available for call on off-duty hours when needed.
