Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas is seeking a Housekeeping Attendant at XE Warehouse to maintain patient care, staff and visitor areas with a focus on cleanliness and safety. This role requires ability to communicate in English, prior housekeeping experience preferred, and a high school diploma or equivalent.

You will work in a fast-paced healthcare setting, ensuring quality service and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate in English verbally and in writing.
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in housekeeping functions is prefer but not required. Customer service highly recommended.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and maintains patient care, staff and visitor areas.
• Performs terminal cleaning procedures of patient rooms.
• Dusts furniture, woodwork, equipment and dust-mops floors.
• Gathers and disposes of trash and waste materials.
• Wet-mops rooms, halls, stairways and public areas.
• Attends educational programs and in-service meetings as required.
• Completes and maintains all job performance requirements and standards as established in Career Ladder Program, including disciplinary action section.
• Maintains required records, reports and statistics as directed.
• Removes waste and soiled linens from work area and places in specific bags or containers.
• Wet-mops/ vacuums rooms, halls, stairways and public areas.
• Prepares and supplies clean, sanitary and quality linen to the patient rooms.
• Cleans and disinfects all fixtures, floors, mirrors, windows, doors and walls of bathrooms.
