Job summary

Qualifications

• Possess good physical stamina & be able to endure long periods of time on feet.
• Ability to do moderate to heavy lifting required.
• Ability to read & follow basic work instructions required.

Responsibilities

• Upholds KP's Policies & Procedures, Principles of Responsibilities & applicable state, federal & local laws.
• Maintains floor & other surfaces by operating cleaning equipment and adjusting techniques for optimum results.
• Performs general cleaning duties in offices, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, patient rooms, and other areas by dusting, sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, and vacuuming.
• Inspects assigned area to ensure compliance with standards; reports deficiencies and maintains security.
• Replenishes dispensers (soap, towels, toilet tissue, and toilet seat covers) in assigned area.
• Transports & disposes of soiled linen and disposes of refuse using approved methods.
• Cleans equipment and moves furniture; assists with bed making and room turnover as needed.
• Participates in staff development and maintains courteous relations with others.
