Qualifications

• Six months housekeeping or maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of safety procedures for disposal of biohazardous wastes and other trash according to departmental procedures.
• Ability to follow instructions and complete all assignments in a timely manner.
• Ability to operate assigned cleaning equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Disposes of trash, biomedical and solid waste materials to appropriate disposal areas.
• Prepares patient rooms for occupancy after patients are discharged.
• Replaces supplies as needed.
• Alerts supervisor of potential problems and safety hazards.
• Performs other related duties as required and directed.
• Assists in assuring compliance with all regulatory and other agency requirements, laws, and statutes pertaining to the operation of the department.
