Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an entry-level Maintenance Worker I – Grounds for our Salt Lake City facilities. The role focuses on groundskeeping, landscape maintenance, and basic facility care within the hospital setting.

Schedule is full-time, typically 7am to 3:30pm, with winter snow removal as needed. Pay is dependent on experience and level; growth opportunities exist within Facilities Management.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of the listed landscape skills.
• Willingness to work hard and learn.
• A valid driver’s license may be required.
• Ability to work independently and in a team with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the appearance, condition, and safety of facility grounds, landscaping, parking areas, irrigation systems, and related equipment.
• Perform planting, fertilizing, clipping, pruning, mowing, blowing, weeding, snow removal, plowing, irrigation monitoring, and chemical application on turf/landscapes.
• Demonstrate basic knowledge of landscape maintenance, irrigation systems, and appropriate use of pesticides/herbicides.
