The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Fort Wayne campus seeks a Staff Dentist to deliver a full range of general and restorative dental services in hospital and outpatient settings.

Qualifications

  • Duties include providing a full range of professional dental procedures in general dentistry, including restorative and preventive care.

Responsibilities

  • Perform clinical and radiographic examinations of the oral cavity.
  • Diagnose pathological or irregular oral conditions.
  • Administer local anesthesia.
  • Perform routine and complex restorations of teeth and extractions.
  • Perform alveoloplasty and other routine surgical procedures.
  • Provide prosthetic dentistry including dentures, crowns, fixed bridges, and implants.
  • Perform endodontic procedures on single and multi-canal teeth.
  • Perform routine and surgical periodontal procedures.
  • Provide direct patient care in hospital or outpatient settings and consult with other healthcare providers.
  • Manage dental notes in the EHR and assist with Community Care referrals.
