Job summary

Pay: HK$23,725 to HK$30,244 (HGPS Point 7 to 11) per month including Monthly Allowance

Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end‑of‑contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist the Hostel Manager in supervising and delivering business support services in the following areas:
    • Housekeeping, cleansing, pest control, gardening and landscape.
    • Patient portering and material transportation.
    • Linen and uniform exchange, security, car park and road control.
    • Mortuary operation, including dead body transfer and claims.
    • Hospital bus management.
  2. Supervise and train the security guards and supporting staff.
  3. Liaise with departments and service contractors to provide services and closely monitor service quality through inspection patrols and follow‑up improvement.
  4. Prepare staff duty rosters, deploy staff to perform ad‑hoc duties, and carry out other daily operations.
  5. Implement Occupational Safety and Health policies and procedures as well as safety programs.
  6. Handle emergencies and other ad‑hoc incidents independently.
  7. Perform on‑call duties and work outside normal working hours.
  8. Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor(s).
Entry Requirements
  1. (a) 3 years’ satisfactory service in the HA, or
    (b) 2 years’ supervisory experience in hospitals, hotels, cleansing service, facilities management or other related services/industries.
  2. Have shown the potential to lead and supervise staff.
Preferred Attributes
  1. Completed F.5 / S.5 or equivalent with:
    • (i) 5 subjects, including English Language (Syllabus B) and Chinese Language, at Grade E or above in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination, or equivalent.
    • (ii) 5 subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education attaining specified levels:
      • Level 2 or above in English Language and Chinese Language.
      • Level 2 or above in New Senior Secondary subjects / "Attained" or above in Applied Learning subjects (subject to a maximum of 2 subjects under this category) / Grade E or above in Other Language subjects.
      • or equivalent.
  2. Completed F.5 / S.5 or above or equivalent AND have received training on hospitality, property management or a relevant subject.
  3. Obtained a valid Security Personnel Permit issued by the Hong Kong Police Force.
  4. Good communication, interpersonal and supervisory skills.
  5. Experience in related field is an advantage.
  6. Knowledge of PC applications is an advantage.
