Job summary

UAB Medicine in Alabama’s largest health system is hiring food service workers to join our patient-focused team. You may work as a tray line associate as part of a team building meal trays according to patient orders, or in dish room/sanitation roles washing dishes and maintaining clean facilities.

Hosts and sweepers are also part of our daily operations to support service. The Food & Nutrition Services team serves 1,400+ patients daily, manages our hospital food court, and provides meals for

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Certified as completed the Food Handler Training Course by the Jefferson County Department of Health within twenty-one (21) days from date of employment required.

Responsibilities

• Receive, assemble and prepare food using specialized equipment.
• Serve food to patients, visitors and staff.
• Distribute food and supplies and perform sanitation duties.
