Job summary

Moffitt is hiring a Floor Technician I to maintain diverse flooring across patient areas, labs, and common spaces. You will dust, mop, scrub, buff, and wax, while ensuring safe handling of cleaning chemicals and proper waste disposal.

The role requires, at minimum, six months of floor care experience and good English communication. This onsite position offers stability within a leading cancer center environment.

Qualifications

• Six months’ experience in floor care / using floor cleaning equipment (buffers, scrubbers, wet vacuums, etc.)
• Ability to follow oral/written instruction and communicate effectively (speaking and reading) in English.

Responsibilities

• Floor maintenance: dust/damp mopping, scrubbing, buffing, waxing, etc.
• Carpet maintenance: vacuuming, bonneting, extracting.
• Operate machines: auto-scrubbers, burnishers, buffers, scrubbers, extractors, vacuums.
• Clean and disinfect all areas including patient areas, offices, labs, and common areas.
• Travel to off-site locations as needed.
