The Hospital Controller reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and collaborates closely with department leaders, administrators, and external partners. As a Senior Healthcare Accountant, responsibilities include managing payroll, accounts payable, banking transactions, daily cash monitoring, bank reconciliations, capital project accounting, and fixed asset management. The Hospital Controller oversees general ledger maintenance, period-end journal entries, financial statement preparation, provider productivity reporting, contract review, budget development, variance analysis, and audit and Medicare Cost Report support. This Financial Controller will supervise accounting staff, fostering accountability and professional growth while strengthening internal controls from an audit perspective. Candidates for the Hospital Controller role must possess prior hospital controller experience, with demonstrated expertise in account reconciliations, payroll processes, GAAP compliance, financial reporting, budgeting, treasury functions, and leadership oversight of team members.
