Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Mainland seeks a Mechanic III PRN to maintain and repair hospital and facility-wide equipment. The role involves preventative maintenance on power plant equipment, reading blueprints, and supporting nurse stations and patient rooms.

Hospital setting experience is preferred, with no travel required. Qualified candidates typically have 2–5 years of commercial or hospital maintenance experience, including cooling, heating, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and carpentry

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in a commercial setting, hospital setting preferred.
• Working knowledge in cooling, heating systems, electrical troubleshooting, mechanical systems, and general plumbing and carpentry experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative maintenance on a variety of power plant equipment (boiler, pumps, motors, chillers, air handlers, etc.).
• Reading, interpreting and working from blueprints, diagrams, and sketches.
• Performs preventative maintenance and repair to equipment.
• Assists in maintaining and PM’s for equipment used in nurse station type setting (phones, refrigerators, chairs, etc.).
