Job summary

Grand River Hospital District in Rifle, CO is seeking a General Maintenance Technician to keep hospital buildings, grounds, and equipment safe, reliable, and comfortable for patients, staff, and visitors.

Under Facilities supervision, you will perform routine maintenance and repairs across plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and medical gas systems; participate in on-call coverage and coordinate with contractors.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of maintenance or facilities experience required.
  • Valid driver's license and clean DMV record required.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, mechanical, and basic HVAC systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs across building systems (plumbing, carpentry, electrical, mechanical).
  • Complete preventative maintenance and work orders to maintain safe, sanitary environments.
  • Assist with operation and maintenance of HVAC systems and plant equipment.
  • Respond to facility emergencies involving power, alarms, HVAC, and critical equipment.
  • Coordinate with contractors and team members and participate in on-call coverage.
