Job summary

WhidbeyHealth Medical Center is seeking a Housekeeper – EVS Tech to maintain cleanliness and safety across the hospital, including patient rooms, public areas, and clinical spaces.

This role includes weekend/holiday rotation, requires a valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance, and Hazardous Material training within 90 days of hire. Hospital housekeeping experience is preferred; a high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of hospital housekeeping experience preferred.
• Hazardous Material Training to be completed within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs general housekeeping duties to maintain cleanliness and safety in patient rooms, public areas, elevators, stairs and equipment.
• Removes trash, soiled linen, recycling and cardboard from all areas; handles infectious waste per policy.
• Maintains all-surface floors and carpet care; cleans lights, vents and walls; moves furniture as needed.
• Responds to calls and requests in a timely manner; supports Security Team and handles routine safety and sanitation tasks.
• Operates district vehicles when required and maintains positive communication with patients, staff and vendors.
