Job summary

Prime Healthcare seeks an Environmental Services Floor Technician at Olympia Fields Hospital to maintain high cleanliness standards across hospital floors and adjacent buildings. Tasks include stripping, waxing, refinishing floors, carpet care, upholstery cleaning, and related duties across multiple facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of knowledge within acute care hospital environmental service techniques, practices and procedures required.
• Preferred two years of Floor Tech experience in a healthcare setting.
• Must be able to read, understand and communicate effectively.
• Ability to understand written and verbal instructions; English required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain floors and adjacent areas using stripping, waxing, and refinishing techniques.
• Perform carpet extraction, bonnet buffing, upholstery cleaning, and floor burnishing.
• Respond to communications via phone, radios, or pagers; work solo or in a team.
• Ensure safety signs are used and equipment left clean and ready after shifts.
