Job summary

Boston Medical Center (BMC) is seeking an EVS Associate II to maintain a clean, safe environment across hospital departments. You will move furniture, operate cleaning equipment, and respond to codes as needed, with a schedule of 3pm–11:30pm and rotating weekends and holidays.

Minimum education is a high school diploma or GED; prior work experience is preferred, with training provided. English reading, writing and communication are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, preferred.
• Some work related experience preferred but willing to train.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and services all areas of the facility to maintain cleanliness.
• Moves furniture, equipment and supplies between hospital departments.
• Cleans isolation rooms during patient stay and after discharge.
• Operates cleaning equipment and prepares chemicals per procedure.
• Reports safety hazards and equipment needing repair.
• Assists with delivery of laundry carts to patient areas.
• Arranges furniture for meetings.
• Responds to fire or disaster codes as instructed by supervisor or manager.
