Job summary

Bradley Hospital in Providence, RI seeks a Cleaning Associate to perform a variety of cleaning duties under supervision. The role emphasizes maintaining clean, safe patient and staff environments in a comprehensive health system.

Responsibilities include floor stripping and finishing, trash disposal, surface cleaning, and ensuring dispensers are stocked. Work schedule is Monday–Friday, 8 hours daily, with occasional third-weekend/holiday shifts. Experience not required beyond basic duties.

Qualifications

• Requires the ability to follow written and oral instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning duties including dusting of mirrors and glass, emptying all trash containers, shining brass, stripping floors of old wax and renewing finish, cleaning screens, radiators, drinking fountains and telephones.
• Assures towel and toilet dispensers are filled as required.
• Keep stairs and stairwells dusted and free from debris at all times.
• Moves furniture, beds and supplies as required.
• Picks up and disposes of trash in a sanitary manner.
• Washes floors including corridors, bathroom toilet areas, shower rooms, offices, lounges, bedrooms, sick rooms and as otherwise assigned.
• Spray and buffs floors as required.
