Job summary

Hamilton Memorial Hospital District is seeking a full-time Environmental Technician to maintain clean environments and linens for staff and patients across hospital and clinics. Position requires extensive physical effort and adherence to safety procedures.

The role includes operating cleaning equipment, handling linens, and supporting QAPI initiatives within the Support Services Department. Pay scale ranges from $15.30 to $20.23 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and speak effectively.
• Must be able to count and follow simple instructions.
• Sufficient strength to push carts and lift.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and maintains all hospital floors and surfaces.
• Take out trash and biohazard trash and operate the compactor.
• Operates environmental services equipment safely and efficiently.
• Cleans environmental services equipment at end of shift.
• Completes department records as required by management.
• Attends in-services and meetings as required by management.
• Assists in passing meal trays as needed.
• Stocks areas with clean linens and transports soiled linen.
• Performs psychiatric sitter duties when needed.
