Job summary

Intermountain Healthcare Layton Hospital is seeking a general housekeeping associate to perform cleaning, disinfection, waste handling, and routine maintenance of patient areas and common spaces to meet hospital and Joint Commission standards.

This role requires following infection prevention practices, PPE guidance, and the ability to work a flexible schedule, including the 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM shift with weekends and holidays; pay ranges from $17.68 to $22.99 per hour, plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Clear communication and ability to follow written and verbal directions.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet department needs.
• Demonstrated professional housekeeping experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect assigned areas using department procedures.
• Use cleaning chemicals properly according to Joint Commission and OSHA standards.
• Dispose of infectious waste and trash following guidelines.
• Follow infection prevention practices, PPE protocols, and hand hygiene.
• Maintain safe, organized work and storage areas across multiple hospital zones.
